The Board of Kaira Clan is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Tero Blomqvist as our new Chief Executive Officer. Tero has been acting as Senior Advisor for Kaira Clan in Smart City development as well as one of our Project Managers.
Mr. Blomqvist has broad and extensive experience in the digital industry. Throughout his career he has been working for companies such as Nokia, Microsoft and ALSO. As well as being the founder of Alussa and co-founder of Kaira Clan.
His insights include data-based business solutions as well as technology development, ecosystem development, project management and Smart City expertise. He has been responsible for developing infrastructure for large scale digital projects, development of Smart Cities and building organizational capabilities. Meanwhile being responsible for overall business development in both management and board roles.
CEO with years of digital transformation experience.
In his 19 years in the mobile industry, Mr. Blomqvist created world leading mobile products from four different mobile operating systems. During this time he had a career highlight when he played a role in the development of Lumia 1020.
After his time in the mobile industry, Mr. Blomqvist worked as the Program Director who was in charge of creating, building and managing the Smart City Program Tampere. Equally important was his advisory role for data-based business solutions for Tampere Tram. Mr. Blomqvist has also consulted in defining and creating a data platform for the UROS Live- areena.
As well as hosting over 100 smart city themed public seminars in 15 different countries, Mr. Blomqvist’s expertise in the development of smart cities inspired him to co-author two books. The “Smart City Cookbook” and “IoT Cookbook- How to create value from data” are reference books into developing smart cities.
Kaira Clan’s future is bright with new Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Blomqvist will assume his CEO role starting August 24th, 2021 in Tampere, Finland.
