Industrial Technology Trading Company Limited (ITTCL) from Kenya signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Finnish Company Kaira Clan.
Today, December 20th, 2021, Joseph Mutua from ITTCL(Kenya) and Tero Blomqvist from Kaira Clan (Finland) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This MoU outlines the basis upon which ITTCL and Kaira Clan have agreed to collaborate in the possible areas of partnership including introduction and linkage to potential partners specializing in hardware, software, and use cases in the 5G ecosystem for the deployment of a 5G network in Kenya.
The partnership will also focus on possible collaborations between telecommunication companies in Finland and worldwide. As well as providing other resources for the successful completion and deployment of the 5G network project in Kenya. This is to include any other viable transaction, product, business, and or service.
Kaira Clan will utilize its Nordic network to bring superior telecommunication partners from Finland and the Nordics to Kenya while providing the concept of their Kaira Technology Innovation Center (TIC). It will start as a pilot phase and will collaborate with local Kenya universities, the public sector, local industry areas, and companies. The focus of the local TIC will be to develop new innovative solutions for 5G, Smart Agriculture as well as Smart Transportation.
ITTC is a Telecommunications service provider in Kenya with decades of experience in the IT sector. The primary function is to provide wireless internet services and also play an advisory role to industry players and policymakers. There is a great need for affordable, accessible, and reliable internet connectivity in the region, and ITTC is willing to invest in future-proof technologies and solutions to satisfy this need. ITTCL looks to collaborate with various partners in the 5G ecosystem including but not limited to Network Equipment Providers, Spectrum Holders, Co-location partners, and adjunct solution providers.

After signing the MoU, the two sides exchanged specific action plans to quickly implement this agreement.
